Start your day with a big smile and meditation and focus on the bright side of life! Find a quiet place, put away your phone or any other distraction and concentrate on yourself. Welcome to the brain tuning podcast! We are Joanna and Chryssa and together we will present a weekly meditation in English and in Greek. The idea for this podcast was born through our personal research and years of experimentation with meditation. We have seen that the more you repeat the process, the mind learns to concentrate and develop awareness, and the more often we practice, the easier it is to stay focused on what we are doing in the present. Whether you are a beginner in meditation practices or advanced, you can feel the benefits. So, let’s begin…

This meditation is ideally practiced when waking up in the morning before even getting out of bed. By integrating morning meditation into our daily routine, we strengthen our spiritual endurance and are able to face challenges with calmness and clarity. We also feel grounded and learn to adopt good habits that lead us to self-care. So, let's get started!

Stretch your arms and legs, gently shake your wrists, your ankles, your fingers and toes, carefully stretch your neck, your chest and your waist. Once you feel your body activated, choose whether you want to stay in a lying position or sit up on your bed and begin.

Remember to starting your day with a big smile! When you smile at life and the people you meet, then life and others will smile back at you. Now, start your day with a deep, enjoyable inhalation, exhale from your mouth and smile! Every time you smile your brain produces serotonin, the hormone of happiness!

Close your eyes and take some deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Always with a smile! Smile at the beginning of your day!

Observe the rhythm of your breath and the more you concentrate on it, the deeper your breathing becomes, helping the oxygenation of your brain and preparing for the activities of your day. Now is the time to put your intention into how you want your day to turn out.

 

Let go, trust the wisdom of your body, you are safe. You are in the here and now.

Now, focus your mind to the tasks of your day and imagine all of them being completed easily, quickly and with calmness.

If during this process your mind gets stuck somewhere, imagine that with each

exhalation you discard any unpleasant image or feeling. 

And with each inhalation you strengthen the beautiful and optimistic feeling that you can manage everything in a great and beneficial way.

 

Envision the beautiful day that begins full of possibilities! You can choose to be as creative as you want! You can start learning something new, or try food you have not tasted yet! Every day is an opportunity, a gift. We only have today, only the here and now.

 

Now return your attention to your breath.

You inhale optimism, you exhale difficulties…

You inhale sunlight, you exhale toxins from your body…

You inhale joy, you exhale dissatisfaction…

You inhale power, you exhale doubts…

You inhale love, you exhale whatever makes you sad ...

 

Now that you are filled with optimism, light, joy, strength and love, repeat to yourself silently…

Just for today do not get angry.

Just for today do not worry.

Just be grateful for today.
